Location: University of Wales Newport, City Campus
Date: 23, 24 & 25 March
Cost: Fully/Part Funded - Please contact us for details

Course designed and delivered by

This course explores how to design and plan for content delivery on mobile devices. It explores the new possibilities that these mobile platforms provide for content delivery, examines the rapidly changing mobile marketplace, and provides a practical hands-on experience in creating mobile apps.

An overview of the current mobile market, platforms and content distribution methods will be provided and industry speakers will share their experiences of producing mobile content. In preparation for developing their own projects participants will learn how to design content for the small screen of a mobile phone. They will be introduced to software tools that allow them to create apps with little or no code.

With support through tutorial and seminar sessions participants will identify potential markets relevant to their field of expertise and develop a project that demonstrates their knowledge and understanding of mobile content creation. Outcomes will build upon their existing skills in the creative industry and will be negotiated on an individual basis to fulfil the learning outcomes of the module.
