The Cardiff School of Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies is a world leading centre for media teaching and research. A pioneering force in journalism education since the 1970s, the School is now a world renowned centre for the study of all aspects of journalism, mass media and cultural studies.
JOMEC is proud of being the first post-graduation journalism school in Britain, and the Cardiff diploma has always been the gold standard of journalism education.
Students are taught in modern, digital newsrooms which replicate the real newsrooms of future employers and give them the chance to acquire the multi-media skills which increasingly all journalists will require – such as online and video journalism. As well as the three newsrooms for the three options, Cardiff has a well-equipped television studio, radio studios, digital edit and production suites, a new media lab and a public relations centre.
